Rooted and Relevant: Reconstructing Judaism in 2019
Workshop leader, The Task of Being Ourselves. Here is the description:
Poetry can tell us a lot about who we are– our best selves, our worst selves. In that way it’s a lot like the Torah portion we read each week, or the stories that have been handed down to us along with the Torah. In this workshop we will look at a few poems by contemporary Jewish writers and discuss what makes them “Jewish” poems and, with even more chutzpah, what makes them Reconstructionist poems.
